WHAT IT IS: The vehicle electrification process is producing a strong positive impact on noise emissions due to the powertrain, but is also bringing with it undesirable effects. The silence of the electric engine, in particular, brings out the noise generated by the auxiliary components, which therefore become a main target for improving the NVH characteristics of the vehicle. Among these, the oil circuit pumps, used both for lubrication and cooling of the electrified axles, constitute the main sources of noise emission. In this context, it becomes increasingly important, even for these components, to structure a design path that takes these aspects into account from the very early stages. This webinar, starting from the gerotor pumps that are increasingly widespread in electrified applications today, presents some design methodologies that can anticipate subsequent acoustic emission problems by working directly on the sources, relating to the profile of the rotors and the fluid dynamics of the pump. The applications relate to real case studies conducted in collaboration with the industrial partner ZF Automotive Italia Srl (Ostellato Plant, FE)
TO WHO IS REVOLT: the Webinar is aimed at interested students, employees of companies, PhD students, sector professionals.
DURATION: 1h online
